Baby Ella Grace- Evans, Georgia Newborn Photographer

I was so excited to go and meet baby Ella today!  She is gorgeous and was so good for me and her Aunt Danielle today!  I got there this morning and Ella was awake so we gave her a few minutes and she was out!  She slept almost the entire session, except for the very end...she let us know she had enough! Mom Jessica and Dad Mark are super excited to finally have Ella here and were very helpful today!  Bones the dog (older brother) was very protective too!  I hope you enjoy this sneak peek and I will share when I have the rest of the pictures ready!



I usually don't do selective color too much anymore...but I just love this one!!



She slept so good!  I love sleeping babies!

I love when babies are all curled up!  Ella would wake up a little reposition to where she wanted to be and then fall asleep again!



This hat was made by one of Jessica's co-workers.... too cute!



Thanks to Aunt Danielle for helping pose Ella.  Miss Ella is strong willed and made sure we only positioned her the way she wanted!

Erin's Bridal Portraits- Appling, Georgia Bridal Portraits

We went out last weekend and were able to do Erin's bridal portraits!  It was a gorgeous day and we had a blast!  Erin brought along her mom and best friend (who were a big help) and I had Laura Anne tag along with me to help out and take some extra pictures too!  Since we don't want Drew (the soon to be Husband) to see Erin in her dress until the wedding day, I can't put up all of the amazing shots we got.  I can, however,  post a few "detail" shots that we took just to show off some of the fun we had that day!  If you are a bride looking for ideas or are a prospective bride of mine, send me an email at ksbusby@yahoo.com and I can show you a few from the session!   Hope ya'll enjoy and check back after May 7th to see the rest!



Drew bought these earrings to give to Erin as her wedding gift.  He wanted Erin to have them for her bridal session, so he gave them to her a little early!  They looked gorgeous and match her diamond and sapphire engagement ring!



I love when Bride's add a splash of color to their wedding day outfit!



Cowboy boots definitely showed up during the engagement session!  Love it!



We ended up covering the D in FORD with Erin and her dress, but in this picture it looks like FOR.... so we added Drew to the license plate!!!  FOR DREW!!!



Love Erin's ring!  We had fun doing photos around the old truck!

Heather and Ken Engagement Session- USC-Aiken Engagement Session

I had the opportunity to meet up with Heather and Ken this weekend at the University of South Carolina - Aiken to do some engagement pictures.  Ken's mom was actually one of my photo session winners from a few weeks back and graciously gave the session to Heather and Ken!   We had a great time photographing around campus and at the USC-Aiken baseball field.  Ken played for them in college and it holds a special place in their hearts! Go Pacers!!   I hope you enjoy this sneak peek and will have the rest of the pictures available soon! 




I love how guys look at their fiancee!  Even when she is the reason they are taking pictures (most guys aren't a fan at first) you can tell he is still in love with her!




I love the way Heather is looking at Ken!








I love how only part of the grass is in focus on this one! 




I love this image!!!  I like how we incorporated the engagement ring and the love of baseball and USCA Pacers all together!




These last two images are by far my favorite (so far) and I can't decide which one I like better!  Leave a comment and let me know what your favorite is and also let Heather and Ken know how much you love the pictures!




No, I didn't do any special photoshop technique to this picture to make the ring shine like that!  I was so excited when the flash hit it perfectly to reflect like that!!




This shot was a little work to make sure Ken wouldn't let Heather fall!  I love the glass blocks behind them!!

Spring and Easter Portraits

Live Bunny Spring Portraits!!

WHEN: April 2nd (Saturday) or April 3rd (Sunday) If there is enough interest we might also do the next weekend April 9th and 10th

WHERE: Location to be determined (we will be outside if it is pretty or inside if it is raining) (the location will be in the Augusta/North Augusta area)

WHAT: 30 min session per family (15 min with live bunny and 15 min with Spring/Easter pictures) (if you are worried your child may be afraid of the bunny we will have a plush one on hand and for the younger kids the bunny will be in a basket, unless you prefer otherwise)

HOW MUCH: $30 per family

WHAT DO WE GET: 15 images on c.d. from session (printing and online usage rights included)

2 5x7 prints of your choice


I am working on getting a timeline together for people to sign up for the time they want so check your calendars!! If you have a date and time picked out please email me at ksbusby@yahoo.com  and I will get you on the calendar.  Pictures will be given to you by the next week so in plenty of time for Easter!

Live Bunny Spring Portraits

Live Bunny Spring Portraits!!  I’m trying to see how many people would be interested in a Spring/Easter portrait session with a live bunny!  I need at least 10 people to sign up to do the sessions so let me know if you are interested!  It would be a 30 min session on either April 2^nd  or 3^rd  and you would receive a disk of 15 images and 2 5x7 prints of your choice for $30    You will have 15 min with the bunny and the rest of the time will be a mini session on location.  Comment or email if you are interested and I will send you more information!  Share this with your friends and family also!  kimberly@ksbusbyphotography.com

Levelle and Trecarya-- Downtown Augusta Georgia Engagement Photographer

I had the opportunity of meeting Levelle and Trecarya yesterday afternoon. They recently got engaged and wanted to do an engagement session!  We planned to meet on Saturday afternoon, and then we saw the forecast!  Rain, rain, rain!  We tried to come up with some indoor locations, but I was really wanting to shoot outside and be able to have more creativity!  We met up on Saturday afternoon and it sprinkled when we first got there and then when we were finishing up... all the other time it was cool and overcast (which gave me great light) and we were blessed with great weather to do the shoot in!  Levelle and Trecarya were such a sweet couple and made my job so easy!  They did their own thing, and I didn't have to guide them much at all!  I took a ton of pictures, but here are just a few!  I will have the rest posted up shortly!  Leave a comment and let them know what you think!



Levelle and Trecarya both met at Tuskegee University.  They wanted to show their school spirit and symbolize where they met!  I loved their outfits and thought this was a great choice!

This location was Trecarya's idea and I love the iron work!
